FTP? is essential for your hosting plan. When using an FTP client – your website’s CMS? uploads much faster than using an upload tool provided by the hosting company. When acquiring an FTP client, you would need the FTP server, FTP UID (User IDentification), and FTP password. Usually, you can choose the UID and password, but keep this in mind in case you can’t.
You would also obviously need an FTP client. FTP clients are available on most of the computer OS?es, and the only exception I might be able to see is ChromeOS, and MS Windows-S mode. If you have either of these OSes, you would need to acquire a new system with a supported OS. If you have one of the OSes that aren’t supporting FTP, you might be able to install a Linux OS on the computer. If you can, then I would recommend Zorin OS. This is a lightweight Linux distribution, and guiding you through installing an OS is beyond the scope of this help site.
